KÁSA—Brand Identity & Web Design

KÁSA is a small interior architecture studio based in Stavanger. They do interiors and exteriors—residential and commercial—but also design one-off furniture pieces and applied art objects. The philosophy sits somewhere between Norwegian minimalism and eclecticism: playing with color, experimenting with form and texture, letting things breathe without going cold.

Finding the tone The client came in with a clear instinct: serious, clean, almost brutal. No softness, no decoration for decoration's sake. We talked it through together and landed somewhere more interesting—brutalism, but with a small human touch added in. Just enough to keep it from feeling closed off. That tension ended up defining the whole identity.

The logo The wordmark carries that contradiction directly in its letterforms—round, almost friendly shapes sitting on top of bold, decisive lines. The mixed register in the lettering adds another layer of personality without making it feel playful in a way that undercuts the seriousness. And then there's the accent mark, a holdover from the very early days of the studio—no longer carrying its original meaning, but kept as a small, slightly mischievous detail that fits the whole thing perfectly.

Everything was built to hold the same balance the logo does: structured and considered, but not rigid.
